Clermont College, situated on 91.2 acres in Batavia Township, is a regional campus of the University of Cincinnati. Located in the center of Clermont County, the college serves residents of Adams, Brown, Clermont, Hamilton, Highland and Warren counties. Opened in 1972, the college offers more than 50 associate degree and certificate programs in a wide range of subjects. Clermont College is an open admissions institution, providing access to higher education to anyone with a high school diploma or equivalency. Clermont College's rolling admissions policy allows students to access any academic quarter: autumn, winter, spring or summer.

Museums/Historical Attractions

Once one of the largest Union Army training facilities covering some 500 acres, Camp Dennison is not the site of Civil War re-enactments and one of the most complete museums of Civil War artifacts.

Out past King's Island in Lebanon are the 2,000+ year-old earthworks (built by the Hopewell Indians). These circular mounds are thought to have been used as a sort of calendar. Here, also, are the remains of an Indian village. A museum on this 100 acre site helps explain the history and culture of the Hopewell Indians.

Here, in a renovated art deco train terminal, you'll be able to visit the Cincinnati History Museum, Cinergy Children's Museum and the Museum of Natural History & Science. A new exhibit, Cincinnati in Motion, is a scale model of incinnati prior to 1940 and includes working model trains and trams.

Parks/Recreational Facilities

An 8,000-acre park includes a public beach, a campground, hiking trails, a five-mile mountain bike trail and bridle paths. East Fork's lake, with its five launch ramps, offers bass fishing and boating. There are several monthly fun family activities. East Fork allows hunting during appropriate hunting seasons.

Made up of three well-separated campuses (see their web site for details), one of them, Rowe Woods) is almost 800 acres with 14 miles of nature trails. The other two, Long Branch Farm is 535 acres and the third, Gorman Heritage Farm is 100 acres. There is a lot to be learned, here, and they have programmed much of it into a very enjoyable, quite painless experience. The kids, young and old, love it.

The park consists of 1058 acres of land and 200 acres of water. It is known for its well kept campground and fine fishing!

Reputed to be the most successful amusement park ever, Coney Island has a fascinating history. It also operates Sunlite Pool, the largest recirculating swimming pool in the world, in continuous operation since 1925. Sunlite Pool is the world's largest recirculating swimming pool - 200' x 401' and holding more than three million gallons of water! The pool area includes sunning decks, showers, locker rooms, restaurants and merchandise shops. Visitors can hike through old growth forest, visit The Nature Shop, or enjoy the indoor bird viewing area at the 1,025-acre Rowe Woods site.

Here, in the middle of Cincinnati, are some of the rarest animals. The Botanical Garden maintains over 3,000 varieties of plants.

Eastgate Mall is home to all your favorite stores like Dillard's, JCPenney, Kohl's and Sears, not to mention other great shops like American Eagle Outfitters, Coach House Gifts, Express, Foot Locker, Radio Shack and Suncoast Motion Picture Co. Eastgate Mall has over 80 fabulous stores and eateries making it truly a total shopping experience.

Cincinnati Mills will ultimately offer 200 retailers including 15 anchor stores. Sports/Sports Stadiums and Golf Courses

The stadium is approximately five blocks west of Great American Ballpark. It is bordered by Pete Rose Way on the north, Mehring Way on the south, Elm Street on the east and Central Avenue on the west. The southern border of the stadium is one block from the Ohio River, and will be connected to the riverfront with a public park. The stadium covers approximately 22 acres and is 157 feet high.
